Sponsored by the City of West Palm Beach, FL, Space Connect welcomed contractors, entrepreneurs, service providers, and business professionals for an evening focused on economic development and real participation in Palm Beach County.
The event featured Charlotte Wright from the City of West Palm Beach, with keynote speakers Lisa King and Colin Stephens from Verdex Construction, leading an honest discussion on “Do This, Not That: Avoiding Small Business Pitfalls”.
What stood out most was that Verdex did not come into the room simply looking to check boxes or fulfill outreach requirements. They came looking for real local partners. The conversation was practical, transparent, and focused on helping SBEs better understand how to position themselves, navigate the process, and become part of real opportunities within Verdex’s construction ecosystem.
Even more importantly, the follow-up started immediately. The very next day, Verdex reached back out to several local construction companies regarding opportunities and next steps.
And of course, the biggest kudos to the Space Connect members who continue showing up, investing in themselves, building relationships, and positioning themselves to be part of the future growth of this community.
Thank you to Verdex Construction, the City of West Palm Beach, and our Space Connect members for another impactful evening that reflects what true economic development looks like when connections lead to action.
