On Wednesday, April 22nd, our members-only fireside chat with Jennifer Ferriol made one thing clear: awareness and readiness is key.
Director Ferriol leads one of the largest operational portfolios in Palm Beach County, overseeing hundreds of public buildings, major capital projects, and the teams behind them. What stood out was not only the scale of her position and responsibility. It was her openness.
Director Ferriol asked the room directly: “What can we do better to increase local business participation and create a more accessible pathway into county projects?”
In times when small businesses are often seen as the ones falling short, it was refreshing to hear accountability from the stewards of our dollars. That’s not something you hear often.
The conversation was real, interactive, and focused on solutions. Members asked direct questions, shared their experiences, and gained clarity on how projects actually move. Several members also had the opportunity for more focused, one-on-one conversations with Director Ferriol.
This is what Space Connect is about. Access. Relationships. Positioning.
We are intentional about bridging the gap between local businesses and the institutions awarding the work. Moments like this are part of the path we are building.
A sincere thank you to Director Ferriol for her transparency, her willingness to listen, and her commitment to strengthening opportunities for local SBEs in Palm Beach County.
If you want to participate, and have access, come and join us.
